First thing before ever considering joining the ranks of the many successful internet marketers is understanding who your target market is. Nothing can be accomplished if you are not clear about this.

Who are you targeting? People suffering from acne? People who like gardening? People who want to make money from home through network marketing, direct sales or affiliate marketing?

Why is this important you might ask? Well, to succeed you’re going to need to know the audience you are going to be serving. Your goal is to solve a problem of that target audience. Why solve a problem of a target audience? Because this critical element is going to make you successful. Your goal is to give them what THEY need and want. In order to do that you’re going to need to understand their hopes and desires.

Here are questions to ask yourself:

  • Who is my target market?
  • What are they (the prospect) thinking about, complaining about, or wanting?
  • What problems are you trying to solve?

Understanding this is the first step to attracting unlimited prospects to your business. Let’s think about what their pains, and frustrations are. Think about what THEY think about, what THEY read about. This is going to take you a long way if you get it down packed.

A problem I see in the network marketing niche is that people don’t identify this subject in the beginning and end up losing a lot of money in the process. They just don’t understand WHAT they’re actually selling.

So to sum it up, figure out whom you’re targeting! Get in their minds and this is when you’re going to see your business launch to its highest peak.
